Recipes: PB and Jam/Banana Toast
If ever I’m in a rush and don’t have the time to make a more elaborate breakfast recipe, these are my go-to’s. They’re simple, tasty, nutritious, and filling, while taking very little prep time.

What You’ll Need
Toaster
A small pot
Ingredients
PB and Jam
1-2 slice(s) of whole wheat bread
Peanut butter (preferably unsalted)
½ cup frozen berries (I use strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
1 Tbsp ground chia seeds (ground flaxseeds work as an alternative)
PB and Banana
1-2 slice(s) of whole wheat bread
Peanut butter (preferably unsalted)
1 banana
¼-½ tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp hemp seeds
Instructions
PB and Jam Toast
- Toast your slice(s) of bread.
- Spread the peanut butter evenly across one side.
- In a small pot, heat the frozen berries until they begin to melt.
- Add the chia seeds to the berries and mix with a wooden spoon, while pressing down on the larger berries to help break them down.
- Continue heating until it reaches a jam-like consistency.
- Spread the jam over the peanut butter-covered toast and enjoy!
PB and Banana Toast
- Toast your slice(s) of bread.
- Spread the peanut butter evenly across one side.
- Thinly slice the banana and place the slices across the peanut butter-covered toast as pictured above.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and hemp seeds over the toast and enjoy!
